| Camp Wood YMCA – CabinsClient: Camp Wood YMCA Location: Elmdale, Kansas Use: Camper Cabins Size: 4 buildings, 1,800 s.f. each Completion: 2006 Wide overhanging eaves, beautiful rain-screen wood siding, and corrugated metal roofing tie these camper cabins to the scenic Flint Hills of Kansas. Each cabin is composed of three pods (two 10-bunk pods and a dual bathroom pod) connected by a large covered breezeway/gathering area. Each of the twenty bunk beds has its own operable awning window and the durable interior finishes can take the brunt of camper activities. Hernly Associates is the Architect of Record for the cabins and worked in conjunction with Tom Nelson as the Design Architect. |
